WSPD Blotter: Landscaping Trailer Burgled, Ridgewood Car Window Smashed

Incidents/Reports
Monday, Apr. 23, 8:59 a.m.; Burglary, Theft: Someone entered an unlocked landscaping trailer parked on the 4500 block of Grand Avenue sometime between 8:38 a.m. and 8:58 a.m., and stole several pieces of equipment valued at $900.
Wednesday, Apr. 25, 2:37 p.m.; Criminal Defacement of Property: An unknown vandal used black spray paint to deface the rear of a vacant commercial building on the 4700 block of Commonwealth Avenue (the former Vaughn's Garden Center.) The time of the incident was unknown.

Friday, Apr. 27, 10:51 p.m.; Criminal Damage to Vehicle: Someone used an undetermined object to smash the rear driver's-side window of a car parked on the 1000 block of Park Place sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:50 p.m.; nothing was reported stolen. The cost of the damage was estimated at $250.

Charges/Citations
Friday, Apr. 27, 11:37 p.m.; Possession of Alcohol by Minors, Violation of Graduated Licensing Law, Speeding: A car driven by a 17-year-old Riverside boy, with a 19-year-old Brookfield male passenger, was stopped for speeding at the corner of Ogden Avenue and Woodland Avenue. The driver was issued citations for violating graduated licensing, speeding and possession of alcohol by a minor. The passenger was also cited for possession of alcohol by a minor.
