WSPD Blotter: Rec Center Car Burglaries, Several Underage Drinking Citations

Wednesday, Apr. 18, 1:59 p.m.; Burglary to Motor Vehicle, Theft: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the lot outside Boone's Animal Hospital on the 900 block of 55th Street sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. and stole $190 in cash.
Friday, Apr. 20, 9:17 a.m.; Burglary to Motor Vehicle, Theft, Criminal Damage to Vehicle: An unknown person broke the driver's side window of a car parked in the west end of the Western Springs Recreation Center parking lot sometime between 9:05 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. and stole a diaper bag containing credit and ID cards, an iPhone and $80 in cash. The total theft was valued at $300.

Friday, Apr. 20, 9:17 a.m.; Burglary to Motor Vehicle, Theft, Criminal Damage to Vehicle: An unknown person broke the driver's side window of a car parked in the west end of the Western Springs Recreation Center parking lot sometime between 9:05 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. and stole a diaper bag containing credit and ID cards, a cell phone and $20 in cash. The total theft was valued at $50.
Friday, Apr. 20, 6:57 p.m.; Theft: Someone broke into a locked student locker at Lyons Township High School South sometime between 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and stole $350 worth of athletic equipment.

Wednesday, Apr. 18, 1:30 a.m.; Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor: A 23-year-old Western Springs man and a 20-year-old Downers Grove man were stopped at the corner of 47th Street and Wolf Road; after a officer confirmed the second man had been drinking, he was issued a local ordinance citation for underage consumption of alcohol and the first man was issued a local ordinance citation for contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Wednesday, Apr. 18, 7:53 a.m.; No Valid Driver's License, No Insurance, No Valid Safety Test Sticker Displayed: Rene Rivas, 41, of 1931 S. Carpenter Ave., Chicago, was stopped at the corner of 47th Street and Clausen Avenue and arrested for driving without a valid license.
Saturday, Apr. 21, 11:03 p.m.; Consumption of Alcohol by Minors: A 15-year-old Burr Ridge girl, a 16-year-old Willow Springs girl, a 15-year-old Western Springs boy and a 15-year-old Indian Head Park girl were stopped in a vehicle in Spring Rock Park and issued local ordinance citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Monday, Apr. 23, 1:21 a.m.; Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor, Consumption of Alcohol by Minors: A 23-year-old La Grange man, a 15-year-old La Grange boy, an 18-year-old Hodgkins woman, an 18-year-old La Grange woman, a 19-year-old Brookfield woman and an 18-year-old Brookfield woman were stopped in a car for speeding at the corner of 55th Street and Wolf Road. The first defendant was issued a local ordinance citation for contributing to the delinquency of minors; the other five defendants were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
