$100K Donated To Nonprofits By DuPage Foundation
The grants intend to help local nonprofits become more sustainable in the long-run.

DUPAGE COUNTY — Eleven nonprofits were recently awarded a total of $100,000 in grants from DuPage Foundation to help them tailor their framework for greater sustainability. The grants were part of DuPage Foundation's Capacity Building program and the recipients were chosen from some 40 applicants.
Below are the nonprofits that were selected to receive grants.
- Anima - Glen Ellyn's Children's Chorus: $9,000
- Bridge Communities Inc.: $14,600
- BrightSide Theatre: $10,000
- Candor Health Education: $10,000
- DuPagePads: $11,500
- Elmhurst Walk-In Association Network: $2,500
- Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry: $7,500
- Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center: $8,000
- NAMI DuPage: $15,000
- The GardenWorks Project: $6,900
"We're opening the door for nonprofits across DuPage County to receive funds that are otherwise inaccessible," Barb Szczepaniak, vice president for programs at DuPage Foundation, shared in a statement.

Szczepniak added, "By helping expand an organization's capacity to fundraise, these grants create a domino effect that in turn provides more programs for the community."
