3 Cars Burglarized In Wheaton: Crime Blotter

Three cars were burglarized in Wheaton during the first two weeks of May.

WHEATON, IL — Three cars were burglarized in Wheaton during the first two weeks of May, according to the city's most recent police blotter. Two of the cars were locked when they were burglarized, police say.

The first burglary took place in the 1300 block of Roosevelt Road. The victim told police someone got into their unlocked car and stole their wallet. The incident took place between April 30 and May 5.

On May 14, someone burglarized a car in the 800 block of Lorraine Road. The burglar(s) smashed the passenger side window of the locked car and took an envelope that had cash in it. The burglary happened sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Another locked car was burglarized, this time in the 1600 block of Briarcliffe Boulevard. Police say someone broke into the car and pulled out the steering column. The incident happened sometime between 10 p.m. on May 16 and 1:30 p.m. on May 17.
