4 Cars Burglarized In Wheaton In Less Than A Week
The string of car burglaries took place between July 10 and July 16, according to police records.

WHEATON, IL — Four cars were burglarized in less than a week in mid-July, according to recent crim blotters from the Wheaton Police Department.
The first incident took place on July 10 in the 100 block of Hawkins Circle. Police say someone stole a garage door opener from an unlocked car sometime between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Another car burglary was reported July 10 in the 1700 block of E. 22nd Street. The victim told police their purse was stolen from their unlocked car. The burglary happened between 1:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

On July 13, police were called to the 1000 block of Hanover Drive for a report of a car burglary. Per the crime blotter, someone shattered the car's side window and stole cash from inside the vehicle. This incident took place just after 12 a.m.
A car burglary was reported in the 800 block of Lorraine Road on July 16. Per the crime blotter, someone broke the car's passenger side window and stole "various tools." This burglary took place between 10:30 p.m. on July 15 and 7 a.m. on July 16.
