Bike Tours, Walks Explore Nature In, Around Wheaton

Community walks and bike rides will be available throughout the summer. See how to get involved.

WHEATON, IL — Now that spring has arrived, community bike tours and walks will be taking place in and around Wheaton. The activities, presented by the Wheaton Bicyclist and Pedestrian Commission, explore the area's natural offerings with trips to Lake Ellyn, Naperville and Blackwell Forest Preserve on the schedule.

Participants usually meet at the Wheaton Library before setting out on the tours.

“Our bike rides are a great way to meet other bikers from the area and learn the great bike trails of the area for those new to town,” Alyse Kondrat, who chairs of the Bicyclist and Pedestrian Commission, said in a statement. "Our hope is that with the start of spring people get their bikes out and take advantage of these great biking opportunities."
