COVID, Flu, RSV Vaccines Encouraged By DuPage Health Officials

As winter approaches, DuPage County Health Department is urging residents to be up-to-date on their flu, COVID, RSV and other vaccines.

DUPAGE COUNTY —DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) officials are encouraging residents to stay up-to-date on their COVID, RSV and flu vaccines as the winter months loom.

"Everyone should make a plan to get the vaccines that offer the best protection for themselves and their families. For those at high risk of severe illness, including pregnant individuals, staying up to date with immunizations for COVID-19, flu, and RSV is one of the most effective steps to protect not just themselves, but also their newborns from potentially life-threatening complications,” DCHD Executive Director Adam Forker said in a statement.

DCHD notes that vaccines are encouraged for residents who are 6 months old or older and for those who are immunocompromised or pregnant.
