Figure Skating, Hot Cocoa, Hockey: Wheaton Ice-A-Palooza 2025
The annual celebration of all things "winter" is slated for Feb. 1.
WHEATON, IL — Figure skating, hot cocoa, open hockey and a hockey match featuring members of the Wheaton Police Department are some of the festivities the Wheaton Park District has planned for Ice-a-Palooza 2025. The event will be held Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Athletic Complex Ice Rinks.
It's free to attend Ice-a-Palooza, where kids can enjoy open ice skating and hockey, a meet-and-greet with Chicago Steel mascot Rusty, outdoor games and airbrush tattoos at no cost. Below is a schedule of the activities planned for the event:
11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Meet and greet with Rusty from Chicago Steel

11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m.: Center Ice of DuPage figure skating performances
12:15 p.m.: Wheaton Police Department hockey game

Attendees can warm up with hot cocoa and s'mores, or grab a bite from the Curious Crow food truck, which will serve up grilled cheese sandwiches, cherry cobbler and more.
