Funds Available For Senior Housing Assistance In Wheaton

Senior residents have until Sept. 20 to apply for housing assistance in Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — Funds are available for senior residents in Wheaton who need assistance with housing. The aid comes via the Wheaton Senior Assistance Program and will offer assistance through 2025.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be 65 or older
  • Be a current resident of incorporated Wheaton who has lived in the city for at least three years
  • Have an annual household income of $33,100 or less
  • Live in their home for at least nine months of the year
  • Agree to be interviewed in person in their home

Residents who receive funds from DuPage Housing Authority or via the Section 8 program will not be eligible for the Wheaton Senior Assistance Program.
