Get Your Child Safety Seat Checked For Free In DuPage County
On Sept. 16, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office will offer free car seat checks for residents.

LOMBARD, IL — On Saturday, residents can get their child safety seats checked for free by members of the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. The event, which will be held at Lombard Commons, is part of National Seat Check Saturday, which heralds the start of Child Passenger Safety Week.
“Most parents are dedicated to doing their best for their kids, so they may be surprised to find out
their children aren’t as safe as possible in their vehicle,” Sheriff James Mendrick said in a statement. “Please don’t wait for a crash to find out if your child’s seat is installed correctly. Let a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician give you peace of mind.”
No appointment is necessary for the car seat safety event, which is among nearly 100 such offerings planned in Illinois.
