House Burglarized, Car Burglarized At Courthouse: Wheaton Police Blotter

WHEATON, IL — A house was burglarized, a phone was stolen from a car and a retail theft was reported, according to the Wheaton police blotter for late July and early August.
House Burglarized in 700 Block of Michigan Street
A house was burglariezed in the 700 block of Michigan Street sometime between July 26 and July 28. The residenet told police they left their home around 2 p.m. on July 26. When they returned around 1 p.m. on July 28, they found their furniture had been shifted around and noticed "multiple items" had been stolen, the blotter said.

Car Burglarized at DuPage County Courthouse
Police were called to the DuPage County Courthouse around 9:30 a.m. on July 28 for a report of a car burglary. According to the crime blotter, the victim's car had been parked in the courthouse lot when someone stole a phone from inside the car.

Retail Theft Reported at Burlington
A retail theft was reported at the Burlington Store at 138 Danada Square West on July 31. Police say someone came into the store around 2:30 p.m. and filled a shopping cart with items before leaving the store without paying.
Retail Theft Reported at Stars Resale
Lladro statues were stolen from Stars Resale, 303 E. Front St., per the crime blotter. The incident took place just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 2.
Bike Stolen on Delles Road
Police say someone stole a bike that was parked in a rack in the 400 block of Delles Road. The unlocked bike was parked around 8 p.m. on July 30 and was stolen before 11 a.m. on July 31.
