WHEATON, IL — An ice cream-eating contest is among the festivities planned to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Kimmer's Ice Cream. The event planned for May 31 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the store at 109 E. Front St.

Mayor Phil Suess will be on hand, along with members of the Downtown Wheaton Association and the Wheaton City Council to share remarks.

The ice cream-eating contest is planned for 3 p.m. Free miniature scoops of ice cream will be available throughout the celebration.

Other activities include face painting, balloon twisting and a bounce house. Live music will be performed during the celebration.
