Kite Fly, Contest, Food Truck, Vendors To Take Over Graf Park In May
The free "Go Fly a Kite" event will also have kites available for purchase.
WHEATON, IL — Colorful kites will fill the sky above Graf Park on May 6 for the Wheaton Park District's free "Go Fly a Kite" event.
Visitors can bring their own kites or buy one at the event, which will also feature several other vendors. Snacks will be available for purchase from Curious Crow's food truck.
The schedule of activities for "Go Fly a Kite" is as follows:

- 10 a.m.: Vendor expo
- 11 a.m.: Kite launch with team kite performance
- 11:30 a.m.: Most Unique Kite contest
- 12:30 p.m.: Kids' Mad Dash and Highest Flying Kite contest
“Last year was a stunningly beautiful day,” Megann Panek, manager of the Mary Lubko Center and one of the kite fly's organizers said in a statement.
