National Cyclocross Competition To Take Over Cantigny Park

Head to Cantigny Park Dec. 7 through Dec. 12 to catch more than 1,600 cyclists competing for dozens of titles.

WHEATON, IL — More than 1,600 athletes will compete for titles when the Cyclocross National Championship takes over Cantigny Park Dec. 7 through 12.

During the six-day competition spectators can snack on eats from local food trucks and sip craft beer while watching the action in nearly three dozen races. Lawn games and Cyclocross merchandise will also be available during this family-friendly event, which blends mountain biking, road cycling and steeplechase bike races.

Wristbands are available for $20 per person and provide admission to each race, in addition to the First Division Museum and other attractions at Cantigny Park. A 15 percent discount at Two Brothers is also included with the purchase of a wristband. Wristband sales are no longer open online, but are available at Cantigny Golf Club, 27W270 Mack Rd. Dec. 7 through Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at the DuPage County Complex Garage #509, 2015 Manchester Rd. on Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participating food trucks include Itsapizza Truck, Tamale Spaceship Tacos and Tamales, Brothers BBQ, Auntie Vee's, A Sweets Girl Cupcake, Woogie Rolls and Kissed by Fire.
