Newsweek Names DuPage Care Center Among State's Best Nursing Homes

WHEATON, IL — DuPage Care Center was recently ranked among the best nursing homes in Illinois by Newsweek.

The publication evaluated over 12,000 publicly and privately owned nursing home facilities and selected 750 for its 2024 list of America's Best Nursing Homes.

Of the nursing homes in Illinois that made the list, DuPage Care Center was ranked third.

The study, conducted in partnership with Statista, analyzed feedback from medical professionals via an online survey. Respondents were not able to recommend the facility at which they work. Also evaluated were metrics such as resident satisfaction, accreditation and each nursing home's COVID safety protocols.

"We are gratified to see Newsweek acknowledge what we have known for a long time," DuPage County Human Services Committee Chairman Greg Schwarze said in a statement.

Schwarze added "Our DuPage County Care Center is an industry leader, providing comprehensive, compassionate care to our residents. Every day, we hear from Care Center residents and family members who believe the personalized care, social, recreational, and therapeutic services they receive at DPCC are second to none, including private facilities. We often call the Care Center our hidden jewel. But we are thrilled that our jewel is now being celebrated by a national publication."

8. Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County, Joliet
9. Whitehall of Deerfield Healthcare Center, Deerfield
10. Balmoral Nursing Home, Chicago
