Nordstrom Rack, J Crew Factory Moving Into Wheaton Shopping Plaza
The two retailers will be opening locations in the Danada Square East shopping center in 2024 after the city council approved renovations.

WHEATON, IL — The Danada Square East shopping center will be adding two new big-name retail tenants after the Wheaton City Council approved renovation plans that will allow the additions.
Nordstrom Rack will move into the space formerly occupied by Charter Fitness as well as the two adjoining spaces, city officials announced this week. In addition, the city council also approved plans for the J. Crew Factory store to join the lineup of retailers that occupy Danada Square East, which is located at the northeast corner of Butterfield and Naperville roads in Wheaton.
The city said that the new stores are expected to open in 2024. City officials announced on Monday that the J. Crew Factory Store will remodel the space between the Whole Foods and Blick art supplies.

Nordstrom Rack, which offers heavy discounts on the same clothing that the retailer sells in its namesake store, Nordstrom. The new location in Wheaton will join another discount “treasure hunt” stores such as TJ Maxx and HomeGoods.
Nordstrom Rack will occupy the space left open by Charter Fitness and will take over stores that are currently occupied by Spokes bike shop and GameStop. The Daily Herald reported that both stores have leases that are expiring soon and that Spokes will be relocating to a new shopping plaza.

Wheaton Director of Planning Economic Development Jim Kozik did not immediately return a message to Patch on Thursday seeking comment.
