Patrols To Increase In DuPage County For Thanksgiving Holiday
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office will be out in full force to prevent impaired driving in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
DUPAGE COUNTY — Drivers in DuPage County will notice increased patrols in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) plans to ramp up enforcement in an effort to target drunk and impaired drivers and to crack down on seatbelt safety.
"Thanksgiving means more vehicles on the road and an increased risk of crashes," Sheriff James Mendrick said in a statement.
He added, "No mater how long or short your drive, remember to buckle up and ensure that children are correctly secured in a safe seat. By buckling up and planning for a sober ride home, you help everyone enjoy a safe and happy holiday."
