Possible Remains Found Near 400 Block Of St. Charles Road: Report
An investigation is underway after "possible human remains" were found close to Carol Stream, Daily Herald reports.
CAROL STREAM, IL — Remains, which may be human, were found near the 400 block of St. Charles Road in Carol Stream, according to Daily Herald.
An investigation was underway as of early Tuesday, with closures in effect on part of the Great Western Trail. DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen confirmed to Patch that"suspected human bones" were found in "an area in Carol Stream."
Jorgensen said the investigation is ongoing and a forensic pathologist is set to examine the remains sometime next week.

A spokesperson for the DuPage County Sheriff's Office told Patch they were "unable to respond to any questions as this is still an active investigation."
