WHEATON, IL — A public hearing will be held April 8 by the Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board regarding a request to rezone Wheaton Oaks Office Park for residential use.

Currently, the 2.85-acre site, located at 1113-1135 Wheaton Oaks Court, is zoned as an O-R Office Research District. The Wheaton Oaks Management Company is requesting the site be rezoned as an R-5 Multifamily Residential District, per city documents.

Wheaton Oaks Office Park edges up on Elliott Lake, across from Wheaton Sports Center and just south of Cosley Zoo.

If approval is granted for the rezoning, the extant buildings will stay as office buildings until a multifamily residential development is formally approved in the future.

Residents can attend the meeting in person on April at 7 p.m. at Wheaton City Hall, or can tune in to share feedback via Zoom.
