Road Closures To Take Effect For Reindeer Run In Wheaton
The Dec. 7 event will cause several road closures throughout downtown Wheaton.
WHEATON, IL — Several roads will be closed on the morning of Dec. 7 to accommodate the Reindeer Run 5K in downtown Wheaton.
The following closures are set to go into effect at 7:30 a.m., with barricades up and police officers present to help redirect traffic.
- Main Street from Front to Jefferson
- Jefferson Avenue from Main to Cross
- Cross Street from Jefferson to Prairie
- Prairie Avenue from Cross to Santa Rosa
- Santa Rosa Avenue from Forest Avenue to Cadillac Drive
- Cadillac Drive from Santa Rosa Avenue to Webster
- Webster Avenue from Cadillac Drive to Forest
- Forest Avenue from Irving Avenue to President Street
- Irving Avenue from Forest to Prairie
- Oak Avenue from Irving to Washington
- Washington Street from Prairie to Union
- Union Avenue from Scott Street to Washington Street
- Scott Street from Union Avenue to Wesley Street
- Wesley Street from Scott Street to Main Street
It's expected that the closures will be in effect until 10:30 a.m.
