September 11 Remembrance Ceremony To Be Held At Memorial Park
A Remembrance Ceremony will be held at Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on Sept. 11.
WHEATON, IL — Residents are invited to attend a September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at Memorial Park in Wheaton. The ceremony will pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and in subsequent battles.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a welcome address from Wheaton Mayor Phil Suess. Reverend Santos Castillo will make religious remarks. Members of the city's police and fire departments will also be on hand.
Ceremonial music will be played by Wheaton College students and bagpipe player Mike O'Donnell.
