Services Set To Remember James Blair Thomas, 41, Of Wheaton

James Blair Thomas passed away May 31, 2023 at Briar Place Nursing home from his battle of Huntington’s Disease at the age of 41.

James Thomas was born in Winfield, IL to Renee Marciniak and James Thomas. He grew up in Wheaton, IL. He graduated from St. Francis in Wheaton in 1999.

James had such a special and unique heart. He loved people, the Chicago Cubs, and fishing. Family was very important to him as well. He was always giving to those in need and made you feel special. He was so happy and proud to become a father and be an uncle. He touched many hearts in his life.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Gonzales-Thomas, bonus son Liam Lombardi; Mother Renee Marciniak; Uncle Richard Poitras; Aunts Christine Poitras and Kathy (Martin) Avalos; former girlfriend, wife in his eyes, Daneel Gonzales; brothers Edward (Laura) and Fred (Marciniak); step-father Ed Marciniak; many cousins, nephews and niece. He is preceded in death by his sister Nicole Thomas; grandparents Leah and Daniel Thomas, Paula and Felix Poitras, Virginia and Frederick Marciniak.

A funeral mass will be at St. Michael Catholic Church; 310 S Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL on June 14, 2023 at 10am.
