Sheriff's Office Increases Patrols Ahead Of Fourth Of July

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office will be out in full force patrolling for seatbelt violations, impaired driving and other infractions.

WHEATON, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) is reminding drivers to follow seatbelt laws and stay sober as the Fourth of July holiday approaches. To help ensure drivers are observing traffic rules, DCSO will increase patrols starting June 20.

“We’re asking all of our residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day safely,” DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick said in a statement.“It’s simple: If you’re driving, don’t drink or use cannabis or other impairing substances. Our officers will be working diligently to keep impaired drivers off the road and ensure everyone is buckled up.”

DCSO recommends taking the following measures for traffic safety.
