Shoplifters Hit 3 Stores In Wheaton In 1 Week: Police

Three stores were victims of retail theft in Wheaton in just under one week, police say.

WHEATON, IL — Three retail stores were targeted by shoplifters in Wheaton in the span of less than one week, according to the city's police blotter for late May and early June.

The first incident took place at the Ulta store at 112 Danada Square West on May 29. Police say "unknown persons" came into the store around 7:30 p.m.and took "multiple items." They then left the premises without paying for the merchandise.

On June 1, police were called to the Dollar General at 1400 Roosevelt Rd. for a report of a retail theft. According to police records, a man entered the store just after 7:30 p.m. and stole "multiple items."

The week's third retail theft incident took place at Walgreens, 2191 Roosevelt Rd. Police say that around 6:40 p.m., a man was seen stashing liquor on his person and leaving the store without paying.
