Tequila Limon Seeks Liquor License For Restaurant On Front Street
The "upscale Mexican steak and seafood restaurant" will occupy the former Sushi Mono space, according to city documents.

WHEATON, IL — Tequila Limon, an "upscale Mexican steak and seafood restaurant," is seeking a liquor license as owners prepare to open at 230 W. Front St. in Wheaton. The city council will review petitioners' proposal for a Class A liquor license at its March 3 meeting.
Approval was unanimously recommended by Wheaton's liquor commission on Feb. 13.
Owner Manuel Mayorga formerly owned and ran Muchacho Alegre and El Campo, both of which were sold, per city documents.

The restaurant will offer a range of cuisine, such as tamarind-glazed ribeye, pescado ala veracruzana, lobster tacos, filet mignon topped with pasilla chili, chile-infused mashed potatoes and more. A drink menu provided in city documents features horchata and agua de jamaica, along with tamarind-rimmed margaritas and tequila anejo.
Teuqila Limon will have a similar floor plan to Sushi Mono, but Mayorga plans to redecorate the space.

He told Patch the goal is to open in April.
"We are very excited to bring our place to Wheaton," Mayorga said, calling the city a
"beautiful, warm center."
He said, "I think it is great to be in Wheaton with my business."
The city council meeting will be held March 3 at 7 p.m. at Wheaton City Hall.
