Wheaton Continues Work On Gary Avenue Through End Of Year

The ongoing project is expected to wrap up by fall of 2025.

WHEATON, IL — Crews will continue to make repairs and perform maintenance along Gary Avenue throughout the end of the year, according to an update from The City of Wheaton. The work is expected to resume again in March 2025.

Next year, the following projects are on the agenda for Gary Avenue:

  • Adding a left turn lane at Prairie Avenue
  • Adding a pedestrian crosswalk with signals
  • Adding a traffic signal at Prairie Avenue
  • Installing storm sewers
  • Roadway reconstruction
  • Widening the road at Prairie Avenue

It's anticipated the project will wrap up by fall 2025.
