Wheaton Police Department Responds To Vehicle Burglaries
In one instance, suspect(s) used the garage door opener in the unlocked vehicle to open a resident's garage door and search for valuables.

The Wheaton Police Department has responded to several reports in the last 24 hours of burglaries to vehicles in the area of Naperville Road and Danada Drive. In these instances, residents’ unlocked vehicles were entered, and in one instance, suspect(s) used the garage door opener in the unlocked vehicle to open a resident’s garage door and search for valuables in a second vehicle parked in the garage.

The Wheaton Police Department reminds all residents to always lock vehicles that are parked on the street or in a driveway. In addition, residents should remove valuables from vehicles that are parked outside or secure them in the trunk.
