Celebrate National Picnic Month
Here's what you need to know this Wednesday in Wilmette.

Know: If you were affected by some of the severe storms and flooding in April, your last day to apply for FEMA funding is Thursday. (Seriously this time.) Don't miss your opportunity to apply and see if you qualify. More information is available here.
Do: Join the Wilmette Public Library for an afternoon of light painting for students in grades 5-9! Kids will use digital cameras to capture amazing designs made with flashlights in the dark. More information is available here.
Do: Venture across the border to Winnetka and make sure to check out Wednesdays in the Woods before the end of summer! GPS will be performing this Weds., with a farmers market starting at 4 p.m. Wed. August 7, 7-8:30 p.m., Hubbard Woods Park. FREE. More information is available here.
Celebrate: Did you know that April is National Picnic Month? Celebrate the right way with a picnic on the beach. We recommend picking up your picnic dishes at Convito Cafe and Market — yum!
