First Congregational Church of Wilmette Welcomes New Senior Minister

Pastor Mary is a graduate of the Princeton Theological Seminary and is ordained in the United Church of Christ. She brings 12 years of pastoral experience from Hawaii, most recently serving as Associate Pastor at Central Union Church.

“I am so excited that God has led me to the First Congregational Church of Wilmette—a faithful congregation with deep roots and a strong commitment to justice”, said Pastor Mary. “ I look forward to opportunities for us to be at work in the wider community: serving our neighbors, cultivating beloved community and standing in solidarity with those who have been marginalized.”

For 150 years, FCCW has been a dedicated presence in the community. As part of the United Church of Christ denomination, the church upholds a progressive Christian tradition committed to social justice, peace and radical inclusion.
