3/18-3/20 Weekend Lake Avenue Railroad Crossing Closure

Union Pacific Railroad will be making repairs to the Lake Avenue crossing in Wilmette east of the intersection of Lake Avenue and Green Bay Road. The crossing will be closed from 6:00 A.M. on Friday, March 18 through 5:00 P.M., on Sunday, March 20.  A detour will be set up - view the map below:

• Eastbound traffic will be directed south on Green Bay Road to Central Avenue, and north at 12th Street to reconnect to Lake Avenue.
• Westbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse, taking 12th Street south to Central Avenue, west to Green Bay Road and then north to reconnect to Lake Avenue.
