Hot Fudge and Politics

Here's what you need to know for this Thursday.

Know: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago will be hosting four public meetings to present the draft Cook County Watershed Management Ordinance for the public to review, according to the Village website. The meeting closest to Winnetka will be held on August 7 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Prospect Village Hall. More information can be found here.

Eat:
July 25 is officially Hot Fudge Sundae day — seriously. Celebrate by dining on YOUR favorite ice cream in town. Where's your favorite place to grab a cool treat on a warm day?

Do:
Meet your local politicians at the Bottle Shop on tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the New Trier Democrats, and includes a representative from Congressman Brad Schneider's team, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Debra Schoreand. The meeting is free — and so is the pizza. Background music is provided by Rick Frank.
