Some of Rossmann's former students responded on Facebook as the news of the school's investigation spread. Molly Manning wrote a comment on the Winnetka-Glencoe Patch Facebook page about her three years in Rossmann's advisory.

"I think that this is horrible... Rossmann strived upon conduct (she gave out breakfast clubs [New Trier's before-school detention] if we were 30 seconds late to advisory), so to hear that she has allegations of misconduct herself is impossible... to believe. Whatever brought this on must be a horrible rumor that is going to make it hard for here [sic] to feel comfortable to return to work when proven innocent. I understand that New Trier administration is just trying to do its job but I have a good feeling that she will be found innocent of these allegations and that the school administration will have a lot of apologizing to give to her for this embarrassment," Manning wrote.

Katia "Alice" Esarey also posted on the Winnetka-Glencoe Patch Facebook page about her memories of Rossmann.

"Frau Rossmann was my adviser for only one year but in that time she helped me greatly with transitioning to New Trier from Austria and having to transition back again only a year later. Whenever I think of my time at NT I think about the great times we had in advisery and how great of a teacher and mentor she was! These allegations are completely unbelievable and, as her student said, completely out of character," Esarey wrote.

Daniel Rissmann, a 2010 New Trier graduate, called the allegations "out of character" in a Facebook message to Winnetka-Glencoe Patch.

"Frau Rossman and I had a warm but professional relationship. I had the privilege to be her student for three years. In that time she was always understanding, supportive, and made every effort to teach the material. In my experience, she typically always had a positive relationship with her students," Rissman wrote.
