The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Criminal Damage: A streetsign at the corner of Blackthorn and Pine Street was defaced. The cost of the repair is estimated to be $100.
Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol): A 28-year-old Prospect Heights man was stopped by police at 1:37 a.m. at Provident and Pine St. He arrested on a DUI charge and cited for disobeying a stop sign and illegal transportation of open alcohol.

Theft: About $900 worth of corrugated cardboard was reported stolen from a business in the 600 block of Green Bay Road.
Cannabis Activity: A 20-year-old Winnetka man was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis in the 200 block of Locust Avenue at 3:24 a.m.

Retail Theft: A container of dog treats was taken from a store in the 800 block of Elm Street. The amount of the loss is $13.

Criminal Damage: A stop sign at Westmoor and Rosewood Avenues was reported to be defaced.

Monday, March 7
Criminal Damage: Graffitti was reported in the pedestrian tunnel in the 500 block of Sunset Road.
Possession of Controlled Substance: A 27-year-old Winnetka man was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance at 7 a.m. The man was arrested following an investigation into a December incident.
