Winnetka Blotter: Teen Cannabis Activity; Arrestee Transferred to Immigration Agency
A summary of incidents reported March 23-24.

The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
March 24
Traffic Arrest: A 34-year-old Chicago man was charged with driving without a valid license and cited for having an expired registration in the 900 block of Vine Street at 5:34 p.m. The man was detained and transferred to immigration authorities. His court date is May 4.

Criminal Damage: A bicycle tire rim was damaged at New Trier High School. The damage is estimated at $40.
Cannabis Activity: Two 17-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy were cited for possession of cannabis and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Bertling Lane at 7:59 a.m. Their court date is April 18.

March 23
Criminal Damage: A business owner reported an estimated $200 in damage to the front door frame of the shop in the 700 block of Elm Street. The damage may have occurred March 22-23.
