31 Speeding Tickets Doled Out During Woodridge July 4 Crackdown
Woodridge police also issued 31 tickets for seat belt violations.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Police in Woodridge issued 31 speeding tickets during a recent crackdown for the Fourth of July holiday. The increased patrols lasted from June 17 through July 6.
During the crackdown, police provided 46 hours of additional enforcement, which resulted in the following citations:
- 31 speeding tickets
- 31 seat belt tickets
- 3 distracted driving violations
- 1 child safety seat violation
- 23 other violations
Woodridge Police Department's crackdown was part of the statewide "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns, which aim to encourage drivers to wear seat belts and avoid driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
