37 Tickets Issued During Independence Day Crackdown In Woodridge

Woodridge police doled out dozens of tickets during its July 4 safety campaign.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Police in Woodridge issued 37 tickets during their recent Independence Day safety initiative.

The following citations were issued during the crackdown, which spanned the days leading up to and including the Fourth of July holiday:

  • 23 speeding tickets
  • 9 tickets for seatbelt violations
  • 3 tickets for child safety seat violations
  • 2 tickets for no insurance

Woodridge police increased patrols by an extra 20 hours during the safety initiative, which was part of a statewide effort linked to the "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns.
