Ice Cream, Bike Parade, Face Painting Planned For Woodridge Night Out
Residents are invited to enjoy games, food and fun with village cops at the 2022 Woodridge Night Out, slated for Aug. 6.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Residents are invited to enjoy ice cream, games, a bike parade, music and more with local law enforcement members during the 2022 Woodridge Night Out. Slated for Aug. 6 at Duffy's Pavilion, the family-friendly event will also feature a helicopter flyby from the Chicago Police Department.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a short welcome and some information about police and crime in Woodridge. Then, the fun kicks off, with attendees getting a chance enjoy the following activities:
- Cornhole games
- Airbrush face painting
- Water balloon toss
- Music
- Ice cream from Nick's Happy Ice Cream Truck
- Other refreshments
Kids can express their creative sides at a coloring table and enjoy squad car demonstrations. A bike parade will also be held at Woodridge Night Out, so children should decorate their bikes before the event if they want to take part in the parade.

“This is a great opportunity for us to develop a sense of community among residents and meet new friends," Woodridge Police Chief Brian Cunningham told Patch.
Woodridge Night Out is part of the greater National Night Out initiative. Founded in 1984, National Night Out is a countrywide effort to connect local communities with their police officers, firefighters and other public service employees, per the National Night Out website.
