Meet Cha Cha

Cha Cha is a black domestic short hair that once had a wild side.

Cha Cha is a 2.5-year-old domestic short hair at the West Suburban Humane Society in need of a home.

You might notice that one ear is shorter than the other. Cha Cha used to be a feral cat. She was spayed and her ear 'tipped' before release, which is a standard procedure to identify spayed or neutered cats.

But she didn't stay feral for long. Cha Cha was taken into a foster home for one year prior to her arrival at WSHS, and has been a happy house cat ever since.

Humane society volunteers said Cha Cha isn't comfortable in a cage, and needs space to frolic. She'll meet you at the door when you arrive home and nap in your lap.

Volunteers said she would do well in a home with dogs, other cats or children.
