Park District Community Survey Open Through October 3rd for Resident Input

Help shape the future of your parks and recreation programs

The Woodridge Park District hired the ETC Institute to conduct a statistically valid survey this summer to help determine park and recreation priorities for the community. The survey was mailed to a random sample of households within the Park District, with an option to complete it online. A total of 389 surveys were completed. While the statistically valid portion of the survey is now closed, all Woodridge Park District residents are encouraged to complete the public version, which is available on the Park District’s website through October 3rd.

About the Survey
The six-page survey takes approximately 12–15 minutes to complete and includes a mix of multiple-choice, ranking, and open-ended questions. It focuses on the Park District’s facilities, parks, and services—and whether these meet your household’s recreational needs.

Why Didn’t I Receive the Original Survey?
The ETC Institute used a random sampling method to ensure broad representativeness. When households are selected randomly, it means every household within the Park District’s boundaries has an equal chance of being chosen. This method helps minimize sampling bias.
Additionally, random sampling provides a foundation for statistically reliable results. The ETC Institute calculated a margin of error of +/- 4.9% at a 95% confidence level, allowing them to quantify the reliability of the data.
