Shooting Chapter for Women Coming to Bolingbrook

The first meeting of The Well Armed Woman Chicago Western Suburban Shooting Chapter will take place Feb. 22.

Bolingbrook, IL - The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters, a non profit that organizes women to “meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as shooters,” will hold the first meeting of its new Bolingbrook chapter on Feb. 22.

TWAW Chicago Western Suburban Shooting Chapter is spearheaded by local female gun enthusiasts, range safety officers and NRA certified instructors, according to a news release.

Events will be held monthly and are open to all women, 21 years or older with a valid FOID.

TWAW Shooting Chapters has partnered with The Range at 355, 9003 Murphy Road in Bolingbrook, to host events. Meetings will include discussion, topical study and time on the range to learn and practice safe gun-handling skills.

Meeting participants must pay range fees and the cost of ammunition or firearm rentals. Annual chapter membership dues are $50. Dues are used to cover chapter expenses, insurance and events, and they come with local and national discounts, a chapter hat and a member kit, according to TWAW.

First time event attendees are not required to join the chapter.

The first event will take place Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at The Range at 355, at 9003 Murphy Road in Bolingbrook. Reservations are required
