Speeding Enforcement Underway In Woodridge

Police in Woodridge are taking part in a statewide effort to curb speeding.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Police in Woodridge are increasing patrols to target drivers who are speeding. The initiative is part of a statewide effort that will last throughout July.

“Speeding causes unnecessary danger on our roads,” Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson shared in a statement.

He added, “Speed greatly reduces a driver’s ability to steer safely around another vehicle, a hazardous object or an unexpected curve. Speeding drivers put themselves, their passengers and other motorists at tremendous risk.”
