Strong Winds Cause Road Closures, Signal Outages in Woodridge

Woodridge, IL - Strong winds have cause Woodward Avenue to close in both directions between Wheeler and Sunnydale, according to the Village of Woodridge.

The traffic signal at Janes and Crabtree has been restored and is on flashing red. The signals at 75th and Interstate 344 will remain out of service for several hours until ComEd can restore power.

Woodridge residents are encouraged to find alternate routes and to use caution when traveling outside. The high wind advisory is expected to last until 6 p.m.

Residents are asked to call 9-1-1 to report downed trees or power lines.
