Woodridge Cops To Increase Patrols To Target Drunk, High Drivers

Woodridge cops will be on the lookout for impaired drivers once again as the new year approaches.

WOODRIDGE, IL — As New Year's Eve approaches, Woodridge police are planning to increase patrols to be on the lookout for drivers who are drunk or high while they are behind the wheel.

“We want everyone in our communities to enjoy the holidays without worrying about the
dangers of impaired drivers,” Deputy Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.

He added, “During the campaign, you can expect to see extra safety patrols. We will show zero tolerance for alcohol- and drug-impaired driving to help ensure everyone makes it to and from their holiday festivities safely."
