Wendy Spencer is weeping copiously into a soggy tissue for the second time this week.
But weddings always have that effect on her, so this certified wedding planner/designer good-naturedly sees the tears as part of her job.
"I always get a little misty-eyed when one of 'my' brides walks down the aisle," Spencer says. "We work together so closely to plan her special day that I can't help being just as happy and proud as she is."

Spencer is the owner and founder of Perfect Day Wedding Planners, a wedding planning & design business based in Yorkville has developed the WEDDING PLANNING BOOTCAMP, of which the 3rd one for the year is schedule on MARCH 23rd at LINCOLN INN BANQUETS in Batavia, IL.
Spencer created this day to assist brides with the challenges, time constraints and more a bride faces with the task of planning her Perfect Day! The vendors are there to assist a bride, answer her questions, and share their expertise to truly hope to save her time, money and frustration! THIS DAY (WEDDING PLANNING BOOTCAMP) was created just for the bride to learn, and BE INFORMED, and not to sell to her, like the standard BRIDAL EXPO/SHOW.

Spencer's task is to coordinate the seemingly insurmountable mountain of details that go into planning the perfect wedding, from securing the banquet hall to picking the menu, ordering the flowers, coordinating the newlyweds' hotel reservations, and handling everything else in between.
"And of course, the real trick is to get everything to come together correctly and on time," she says with a laugh.
"Brides love turning over all those details to me."
The event
THIS Saturday March 23rd at Lincoln Inn Banquets in Batavia, IL. (we also have another one April 28th at Eaglebrook Country Club in Geneva, IL)
I created this event to inform and educate brides on the ins and outs of planning their wedding. The wedding experts I invited to participate in this event will either speak or demonstrate about their specific area, but they do NOT sell to a bride-we are here to help Chicagoland area brides, so their wedding planning process is much easier, and runs without the unknows that can pop up when a bride is doing the majority of wedding planning herself.
We are trying to help brides with any of the unknowns. Brides receive a resource binder filled with information on the individual areas (ie honeymoon planning, makeup tips, hair tips, and more)Brides have a chance to meet up close with any of these vendors to answer their burning questions.Brides get a wonderful swag bag to take home, filled with fun goodies and coupons to assist them The venue has willingly hosted this, along with event organizer, Wendy Spencer with Perfect Day Wedding Planners.
