KENDALL COUNTY, IL — There were dozens of crashes reported over the weekend across Kendall County while motorists were traveling on the slippery, snowy roadways, according to local police and Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials. In a statement to Patch, Kendall County Sheriff's Deputy Nancy Velez said the sheriff's office took 13 crash reports between Friday night, Jan. 11, and Sunday morning, Jan. 13.
According to a spokesperson for Oswego Police Department, officers took 12 accident reports on Saturday. Crews also assisted two drivers that drove into a ditch, the department said. There were five other accidents reported, but the department said those involved declined filing reports at the time of the incident.
The crashes reported in Oswego were property-damage only, according to the police department.
