Drug Charges, Deer Incident, More: Kendall Co. Sheriff's Office

Yorkville's crime activity reported by the Kendall County Sheriffs Office from Dec. 13 to 17, 2018.

YORKVILLE, IL —

Dec. 17

Deer into SUV

Yorkville police said they responded just before 5 p.m. Monday to the home of Jennifer M. Kokes, 47, of the 400 block of East Barberry Circle where she reported the 2013 Honda CRV she was driving near Route 71 just southwest of Route 126 hit a deer. Police said the crash caused moderate damage to the SUV, but Kokes was not injured.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said they responded to the 9600 block of Route 34 Monday for a report of theft. The sheriff's office said the complainant told police that plastic pallets and storage totes were missing. This case is being investigated. The sheriff's office said according to the complainant, the items went missing between Sunday and Monday.

An additional report from the sheriff's office on Dec. 17 notes that numerous Yeti thermos cups were reported missing from the same area.

Dec. 16

In-state warrant

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said Yasmine Tiana Brooks, 23, of the 1300 block of Market Place, Yorkville, was arrested and charged on an in-state warrant during the morning of Dec. 16. The sheriff's office said Brooks was released on bond.

Dec. 14

Aggravated domestic battery

The sheriff's office said Ivan Daniel Lightfoot, 33, of the 500 block of W. Barberry Circle, was sentenced as a weekender on Friday for an aggravated domestic battery offense and charge from Aug. 31, 2018.

Dec. 13

Felony possession charges

Miguel Ortega Uribe (pictured above), 24, of the 200 block of Bertram Drive, was arrested and charged on Thursday, Dec. 13 with delivery of or possession with intent to deliver, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance, all felony charges. He's being housed at the Kendall County Public Safety Center. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 20 in Kendall County.

According to WSPY, Ortega Uribe was arrested for allegedly selling cocaine, and now lives in Aurora, but a previous address lists Yorkville (noted above).
