So says Lisa Dent of US99. And like any hungry artist, he’s got his hands in the dirt. In just under a decade Noah’s released 7 records- from full-on electric soul stomp to spare & spooky ruminations. Smears the rainbow with every shade of gray. But playing live is what really trips his trigger- he sings the hell out of a song even if nobody’s listening. After a recent stay in the fertile Austin, TX music scene, followed by a national solo tour, he returned North and hooked up with like-minded instigators Justin O’Connell & Chad Watson, drums & bass. The Arcade. On this night they’ll play Noah’s new record Austin Bound in it’s entirety. A stark, dreamy song cycle with some dark and comfy corners to crawl into- the soundtrack to a heavy, foggy night drive. Joining Noah’s Arcade will be Dave Nelson & Dave Ramont, throwing some guitar & banjo & concertina on the fire.

Performing Songwriter Magazine said, “Differentiating oneself in the burgeoning field of alternative country artists is a tricky proposition these days, but Dave Ramont stands tall in the crowd.”
Ramont was born with a song in his head, but the doctors couldn’t get it out. So he’s been playing around the Chicago regions, Midwest, and points beyond for years- releasing 4 solo records and 4 more with swillbilly band Dick Smith. He also did time in the Austin scene, the Austin Chronicle saying, “The world could always use another quality singer/songwriter with meaty lyrics, gritty vocals and a tight backup band.” Back North he taught music, dug ditches and kept gigging. He toured more after his 3rd record Scrawny, which Richard Milne of Chicago’s WXRT called it, “A delicious collection of distinctly American music.” His latest release is TAW, a meaty 2 CD set. Hubcaps & Thorazine, carnival hangovers & fever dreams. The moon looks wet and it smells like snow...
