Juvenile hurt in accident

The Yorkville Police Department said a juvenile was injured during a car accident that took place at 3:47 p.m., Dec. 9 on Route 47 and Galena. Police said a 1995 Ford Ranger driven by Dave J. Ramos, 21, of the 300 block of Bevier Place, Aurora, rear-ended the 2011 Hyundai Tucson driven by Kristen E. Meyn, 35, of the 600 block of Kristen Street, Plano. Meyn was also traveling with the juvenile passenger. Police said Meyn's Tucson had stopped for a vehicle in front of her when she was rear-ended. The juvenile was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center for injuries, according to police.

The Yorkville Police Department said a juvenile was taken to the hospital for injuries after she was bitten on the face by a dog inside her home in the 1200 block of Evergreen Lane. Police said the incident happened at 8:30 p.m., Dec. 8, and that that juvenile needed several stitches

Thursday, Dec. 6

DUI, Child Endangerment

The Yorkville Police Department said Eric. J. Albright, 35, of the 3100 block of Edward Street, Plano, has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, DUI of alcohol with a BAC of 0.08 or more, and endangering the life and health of a child after police investigated a report of a possible single-vehicle accident on Dec. 6. Police said this took place at 8:34 p.m. in the 100 block of Boombah Blvd.

The Yorkville Police Department said officers responded to the 700 block of Game Farm Road at 12:13 p.m., Dec. 6 for a report of battery. Police said a juvenile was taken into custody for battery and taken to Kendall County Corrections before being released to a parent.
