Kathleen Palma Barbara Mazurke, 70, was a Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church

Kathleen Palma Barbara Mazurek, age 70, of Bristol, IL, formerly a 14 year resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home.  She was born on July 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Marin and Stephanie (Ostojich) Curach. 

Kathleen was united in marriage on November 9, 1963 in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Henry Mazurek, Sr., and they spent the next 49 happy years of their lives together.  Mrs. Mazurek was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.  The time that Kathleen spent with her grandchildren was the most special part of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Mazurek, Sr., of Bristol, IL; her five children, Hank (Tracy) Mazurek, of Naperville, IL, Rob (Brittany) Mazurek, of Berwyn, IL, Mark (Jennifer) Mazurek, of Naperville, IL, Pam (Steve) Eckardt, of Yorkville, IL, and Chris Mazurek, of Chicago, IL; her eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Ashley, Alyssa, Logan, Mason, Adam, Ethan and Alex; and her sisters, Frances (Gene) Moir, of Manchester, NJ and Mary (Richard) Murdter, of Whiting, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marin and Stephanie Curach.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, IL, with Father Michael Callea officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pwky., Yorkville, IL.
