Kendall County Board Approves Fixing County Office for Over $800,000
The fixes include a new roof, generator and more.

The Kendall County office building is getting some much needed updates to the tune of $832,220.
The Kendall County board accepted a $757,900 bid from Commercial Mechanical Inc. for the work and approved a contract. They also approved a $74,320 engineering contract with Kluber Architects and Engineers, according to the Aurora Beacon.
The county building, located at 111 West Fox Street, was built in the 1970s and still has the original roof, according to the Beacon.
The building houses the departments of: Assessments, County Administration, County Board, County Clerk, County Recorder, GIS/Mapping, Planning Building and Zoning, Treasurer and Voter Registration.
Items to be fixed and updated at the building include a new roof, generator, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
The project will be financed from the county’s capital improvement fund, according to the Beacon.
